Overview

System Overview.

Labman installed a small weighing system in Siena, Italy in 2006. The system weighs either Micronic vials or Wheaton vials to five decimal places. A rotating table and 1D barcode reader are used to identify the Wheaton vials. Micronic tubes are identified using a 2D barcode on their base. The system has capacity for nine blocks of 96 Micronic vials or nine blocks of 24 Wheaton vials. The cycle time for this system is 20 seconds per vial. All weight and barcode data is outputted to a CSV file for integration with a LIMS system.
